RCIA

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a program of journeying toward understanding the Catholic Faith.

It is designed for those with no knowledge of God who want to come to know God, for those who want to deepen their understanding of the Catholic faith, and for those looking to convert to Catholicism.

 

There is no time limit on the process, and the program itself works towards reception into the Catholic Church, usually at Easter, and reception of the Catholic sacraments- generally covering a period of 9 months.

 

This parish follows a specific program of exploring Catholic beliefs (the Creed), exploring the sacraments, what is required in living a Catholic life (Morals and Prayer), discovering what it means to be Catholic (called Evangelium), and providing resources.

 

It is a time for those interested to discern their spiritual calling to be part of the Catholic church.

 

The first step is usually a discussion with the parish priest, which will be facilitated for you through the completion of a registration form, if not addressed already.
